120+ children helped Our mission
Every child safe, in school and surrounded by people who believe in them.
We work where need is greatest: rural villages in Kikuube, island communities on Lake Victoria, and the streets of Mbarara. Our approach is holistic, combining education, care, family strengthening and faith.
Our story
Rooted in the church, growing with the community
RODA grew out of the Redeemed of the Lord Evangelistic Church’s work with children who had nowhere safe to go. What began as a few classrooms and meals has become four primary schools, a residential rehabilitation centre and a family programme reaching four regions of Uganda.
We are Ugandan-led and locally staffed. Our teachers, social workers and counsellors come from the communities they serve, which is why children stay in school and families stay together.
International partners such as Erikshjälpen (Sweden) and ROLEC walk with us, but the vision, the daily work and the results belong to Ugandan communities.
