Our projects

Our projects drive lasting change for vulnerable children by improving access to education, healthcare and safe living. Through community partnerships, we turn compassion into action.

Education

Nurturing the next generation

Education is the foundation for lasting change. RODA runs four primary schools across Uganda, providing quality education, life skills and a nurturing environment for vulnerable and marginalised children.

Through these schools we are shaping future leaders and breaking the cycle of poverty. Each school offers meals, a safe compound, trained teachers and Christian values.

Rehabilitation

Amagara Masya Rehabilitation Centre

Code-named Amagara Masya, “New Life” in Runyankore, the centre empowers former street children in Mbarara through holistic rehabilitation.

Our programme transforms the lives of street-connected children by providing safe shelter, education, healthcare, counselling and vocational training. We work closely with families and communities to reintegrate children into supportive environments, helping them break free from cycles of poverty, abuse and neglect.

Family Empowerment Program

Strengthening families, transforming futures

Strong families are the foundation of a child’s well-being. The programme works hand-in-hand with vulnerable households, especially those affected by HIV/AIDS, poverty and social exclusion, to build resilience and create nurturing environments for children.

We serve families in Bussi Island, Hoima, Mbarara and Masaka, helping them overcome challenges and become active agents of change in their communities.

Parenting support

Training caregivers in positive parenting, child protection and emotional care.

Economic empowerment

Income-generating skills, savings groups and financial literacy.

Health & nutrition

Healthy practices and access to essential services for the whole family.

Community engagement

Local leaders and networks mobilised to support family stability.
